Potato Milk

An original queer scouse comedy about polyamory, lesbians and milk alternatives…

Potato Milk is Turning Worm’s first ever Arts Council funded project.

The original comedy was met with a sold-out run at Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse’s Playhouse Studio in May 2024, following a sold-out rehearsed reading at Unity Theatre in September 2022.

Creatively captioned, packed with scousisms, and poking fun at the only group it’s socially acceptable to be sly to (cis-het men), this brand-new comedy was collaboratively created by a group of emerging disabled artists, and met with rave reviews.

We’re dead proud of it.

As a team of emerging artists, we incorporated mentorship into this project.

Each creative team member was able to access mentorship from a mid-career artist in their chosen field, allowing them support to develop their craft throughout the process.

Potato Milk: creative process

As a disability-led organisation, we shaped our rehearsal and production process around the access needs of our creative team.
